With only a few matches left in the season, the outcome of Real Madrid ‘s campaign is uncertain. They could have a triumphant conclusion, being in the Copa del Rey final and the Champions League semi-finals.
Alternatively, it could be a major letdown if they don’t bring home any trophies.
Carlo Ancelotti ‘s future may be determined by this result. Despite all the criticism he has received throughout the season, he deserves a lot of praise.
Few other managers could have achieved what Ancelotti has, with limited depth and so many injury issues.
It is now crucial to end the season on a high note and bring home some silverware, preferably the 15th Champions League title.
One issue that Real Madrid is currently dealing with concerns the pitch at Santiago Bernabeu, Even Ancelotti has acknowledged it.
According to 90min, he commented on the matter: “The grass has an issue, they are working on it and hopefully they can find a solution.
It is evident that the work is affecting it. It is not unexpected, It is deteriorating.
It will improve, naturally, before the match against Manchester City.”
Ancelotti acknowledges the difficulty Real Madrid is facing with the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The construction that has been taking place for a few years has had a detrimental effect on the quality of the grass, It has already had to be replaced multiple times.
It did not appear to be in good condition during Real Madrid’s most recent match against Celta Vigo.
Nevertheless, since the club is redeveloping the stadium, this is a short-term problem that will have a much greater long-term benefit.
It is expected that the pitch will be in excellent condition when Real Madrid host Manchester City for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final match next month.
Prior to that, they will have the Copa del Rey final against Osasuna, Consequently, Los Blancos have some important games coming up.
