Erik ten Hag’s wish may come true with these five signings Manchester United’s summertime negotiating period

Erik ten Hag will try to bolster his Manchester United team during the summer transfer window.
With a Carabao Cup already under their belt, Manchester United appear to be on the right track for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s tenure.
Good and diligent recruiting in the summer provided the team with the crucial boost. It is critical for the club’s development that they maintain this philosophy and do not revert to signing ‘big names’ for the sake of it.
If Manchester United wants to become a serious championship challenger this summer, some major decisions must be taken at Old Trafford.
Beginning with the offense, it’s evident that the Reds require a world-class center-forward. Apart from Marcus Rashford’s 27 goals, Bruno Fernandes tops the scoring rankings with 10 goals.
Wout Weghorst’s recruitment was clever, low-cost, and offered a good alternative to Ten Hag’s team. Yet, a far more energetic and clinical striker is required in the future.
Erik ten Hag’s preferred option, according to MEN Sport, is Harry Kane, who would certainly tick a lot of boxes. His bond with Son Heung-min might be duplicated with Marcus Rashford, a player he knows well from their time together with the Three Lions.
Going down the field, it is easy for United fans to believe that with Casemiro at the club, their holding midfield job would be secure for the foreseeable future. Yet, if this season is any indication, the Brazilian will not be available every week.
Better backup is required. There are other high-quality candidates for United to explore, and given Ten Hag’s Ajax connections, the Amsterdam club may be an easy first stop.
Edson Alvarez, 25, is a Mexican holding midfielder recognized for his ball retention and powerful presence in the middle of the field. In addition, he possesses good positional awareness and the ability to play center-back.
He is familiar with Ten Hag’s style of play, having previously worked under his tutelage. He might prosper in the Premier League if he follows in the footsteps of Lisandro Martinez and Antony.
United also want competition for Bruno Fernandes, as well as a back-up for Christian Eriksen. Take a look at Wolves star Ruben Neves.
Neves provides legs and a world-class passing range that any top European team would be happy to have. In addition, his current team is suffering in the league this season. No, they may not be relegated because they appear to have improved since the arrival of new manager Julen Lopetegui, but after being a huge part of the club since 2017, as well as Neves nearing his ‘peak years,’ it may be time for him to go to a top side.
Right-back is another position that may benefit from a fresh acquisition. With Luke Shaw secured as the starting left-back, the same tale would be ideal on the right side of the back four, but Ten Hag appears to be undecided between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.
Denzel Dumfries, a full-back for Inter Milan, would be a perfect fit. He has put in some strong performances on the world stage, including in the 2022 World Cup and the Europeans in 2021.
He has speed and strength, and he can deliver some terrific deliveries. If Ten Hag can sign Dumfries, he may very possibly take over as United’s right-back.
Lastly, the goalkeeping choices must be considered. David de Gea has been in excellent form recently, but it is no secret that he has battled to adjust to Ten Hag’s style of play.
Diogo Costa of Porto would be a perfect fit. He has 12 clean sheets this season, is only 23 years old, and is already Portugal’s first-choice goalkeeper.
He exudes confidence and might be the solution to United’s goalkeeping conundrum.
