Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen posted three photographs to Instagram, indicating another step forward in his injury rehab.
The seasoned playmaker joined the club last summer and had been an ever-present in the team until late January, when he sustained a catastrophic injury during the Emirates FA Cup triumph against Reading.
Eriksen was seen at the Carabao Cup final in February and told MUTV at Wembley Stadium that he was relieved to no longer require his crutches.
Christian, who was wearing only a protective boot at the time, was certain that he could contribute to United’s season-ending win in three tournaments.
Erik ten Hag delivered another optimistic update on Eriksen’s recuperation last week, revealing that the 31-year-old technician should return within the campaign’s final month.
“Sure, he will return sometime in April,” the manager said.
“He’s doing incredibly well in rehab.” The progress is excellent, and we will see how it develops in the next weeks.”
As fans of Eriksen’s social media may have seen, the United midfielder posted three photographs to his Instagram Stories today that give more grounds for optimism.
As shown in the pictures below, Christian has progressed from his protective recovery boot to trainers and now football boots, implying that he is back on the grass and working hard.
