Real Madrid’s transfer policy has shifted in recent seasons away from signing established players for exorbitant fees. Instead, young talent has been targeted in the hope that they will develop while at the club.
So far, it has been a success, with Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr blossoming and becoming important players in the first team, and Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga heading in the same direction.
Florentino Perez intends to continue signing younger players in the future, but bigger names will be targeted in a “Galactico project,” according to Sport.
This is expected to begin this summer, assuming Real Madrid is able to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, despite interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.
Moves for Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are expected to be prioritized next summer as Perez seeks to keep Real Madrid as one of Europe’s powerhouses for many years to come.
