Four Manchester United players, including a youngster who “had a spat with Anthony Martial,” are called up by Erik ten Hag for first-team training
Youngster Dan Gore and three other Manchester United youth standouts have been asked by Erik ten Hag to practice with the first team this week.
The other talents included Mark Jurado, Omari Forson, and Sam Murray, but Gore’s involvement was the most intriguing.
The 18-year-old midfielder and Anthony Martial got into a fight in a training session back during world cup in November.
Given their history, that might have made this week’s session even more fascinating.
Gore slammed into a tackle on the French forward, setting off a heated argument between the two.
The Dutch tactician Ten Hag had informed his team that tackling was not permitted on the first team.
But, According to the Daily Mirror, Gore disregarded the advice and attacked Martial viciously.
As teammates came in to break up the argument between the two, the former Monaco star is reported to have faced off with the teenager.
Any possible conflict is thought to have been resolved privately, with Martial expressing regret to Gore.
The 27-year-old, who has been sidelined with a hip ailment since mid-January, missed Man Utd’s match against Southampton and is aiming to be healthy again.
“Yes, but I think all the while we had a decent plan and it worked till now not always well,” ten Hag added in reference to Martial’s injury issues.
Nonetheless, he is returning and has resumed training, so we will proceed with caution.
Meanwhile, Gore has yet to play for the Red Devils’ first team.
He played a key role in Man Utd’s U18 team’s FA Youth Cup victory over Nottingham Forest last year.
