Exclusive to Man United’s official website – FERNANDES: LET’S KEEP PUSHING
“Let’s push together once more until the end of the season.”
That’s the message midfielder Bruno Fernandes sent to Manchester United fans after being named Player of the Month for March earlier this week.
Man United’s No.8 received his trophy at Carrington on Friday after garnering a majority of 40% of the fan vote in the United App, narrowly beating out second-placed Marcus Rashford (39%).
Bruno took the time to record a video for the United fans as we prepare to return to action following the international break, with a Premier League game away to Newcastle United on Sunday.
“I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me as Player of the Month. “I really appreciate it,” Fernandes says in the video above.
“It’s a good sign that you appreciate my efforts on the pitch.”
“I just want to say thank you again, and let’s push together until the end of the season.”
Bruno had three goals and an assist in March as an ever-present in Erik ten Hag’s side in the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, and UEFA Europa League.
Erik expressed his appreciation for United’s latest Player-of-the-Month winner during his pre-match press conference ahead of the first of nine games in April.
“He’s incredible. He’s had a fantastic season so far, and first and foremost, he’s an example,” the manager says in the Q&A, which you can watch in full from 07:00 BST on Sunday morning.
“He brings so much energy to the team, but he also takes on so much responsibility and leads by example.”
“Not only by coaching, but also by example, and he excels in transitional situations.” Of course, he is a constant threat in the final third “Ten Hag goes on.
“When in possession, he is always ready to receive the ball.” He is always an option, and almost always has the correct solution.
“I am so happy to have Bruno on my team, and I believe he has made a significant improvement this season, which I hope he can continue.””
