Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Moises Caicedo and Alex Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer.
This season, the Reds have struggled, and midfield has been a major source of concern for manager Jurgen Klopp. According to Calciomercato, they are looking to strengthen their squad by signing the two Brighton midfielders. They may have to spend around £150 million to bring the duo to Anfield.
Caicedo, 21, was heavily linked with a January move to Arsenal. Brighton turned down the Gunners’ two bids for the Ecuadorian. This season, he has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top talents, appearing in 24 league games.
The midfielder is valued at £90 million by the Seagulls, and his current contract expires in 2027. Meanwhile, Mac Allister’s stock has risen as a result of his outstanding performances for Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In six games in Qatar, he had one goal and one assist.
Brighton are willing to pay more than £60 million for the dynamic midfielder. In the summer, the Reds require a major midfield overhaul. Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-contracts Chamberlain’s are set to expire at the end of the season, according to reports.
Fabinho and Jordan Henderson’s form has dipped, and Thiago Alcantara has been plagued by injuries. Liverpool is currently fifth in the Premier League table after being knocked out of all cup competitions.
