Manchester United is closing in on a transfer for Wolves’ star, who is ‘already negotiating’ a move

According to reports in Spain, Manchester United are “already negotiating” a transfer for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
The Portuguese midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux in the last 12 months, and while his contract is set to expire this summer, he is widely expected to leave. Wolves may reluctantly listen to offers for Neves this summer, given that he could leave for free in 2024.
According to SPORT, United has benefited from Barcelona’s withdrawal from the race by landing the Portugal international. According to the report, Neves is “already negotiating what could be his transfer to United beginning next summer.”
Erik ten Hag wants to strengthen his midfield despite the fact that Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Marcel Sabitzer have all joined the club in the last year. A move for Neves appears to be gaining traction, given that Wolves are aware that their star man may be playing his final games for the club this season, as Julen Lopetegui’s side fights for survival at the bottom of the Premier League table.
According to the Mirror, the Portuguese is valued at £50 million and has been linked to a number of top clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Barcelona appear to have lost interest given the number of issues that the Spanish giants must resolve before considering adding quality players this summer.
