Manchester United is planning a £143 million double swoop for two Napoli players

Manchester United are allegedly willing to pay £143 million for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-jae.

Napoli are having a spectacular season, with Luciano Spalletti’s team on the verge of breaking the club’s 33-year wait for a Serie A championship.

Napoli now leads second-placed Inter Milan by 18 points after winning 22 of their 26 league games this season.

They also qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals after defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 on aggregate in the previous round.

Some important players of the Napoli squad are presently generating interest from clubs throughout Europe as a result of their success this season.

Man United are planning a £143 million raid to lure Osimhen and Kim away from the Serie A leaders, according to Football Insider.

In the January transfer window, the Red Devils reinforced their front line with the loan acquisition of Wout Weghorst.

But, in 17 appearances for Erik ten Hag’s side, the Dutchman has only scored two goals and is anticipated to return to Burnley when his loan agreement expires at the end of the season.

With Anthony Martial’s future uncertain, Manchester United are looking to add a high-profile attacker during the summer transfer window.

Osimhen has emerged as one of Manchester United’s key offensive targets, as well as being connected with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The Nigeria international is Serie A’s leading scorer this season, with 19 goals in 22 league matches.

Man United may have to pay more than £100 million to keep Osimhen, who is under contract until June 2025.

The Red Devils are also looking to bolster their defense, and they have received some encouraging scouting reports on Kim’s performances at Napoli.

The South Korean international, who joined Napoli from Fenerbahce this summer, has started 25 of Napoli’s 26 league games this season, scoring twice and assisting once.

Kim has a contract through 2025 with a two-year extension option, although his deal supposedly contains a £43 million release period.
