Manchester United will face Real Betis without five players

Erik ten Hag, the head coach of Manchester United, has selected his team for Thursday’s second leg against Real Betis in the Europa League quarterfinals in Seville.

The 20-time English champions have a good chance of making it to the quarterfinals of the tournament after winning the first leg of the match 4-1 at Old Trafford.

Because of his illness, Brazilian forward Antony was unable to train with the Red Devils on Wednesday morning and has been left off the roster for Thursday’s game.

Alejandro Garnacho is also sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained during Sunday’s goalless Premier League tie with Southampton.

While Christian Eriksen (ankle) and Donny van de Beek (hip) are also sidelined due to injuries, Anthony Martial (hip) is making progress in his comeback (knee).

The team’s last two games were lost due to Marcel Sabitzer’s injury, but there is good news on the injury front as he can now rejoin the group.

The team has welcomed Victor Lindelof back after he recovered from his illness.

Following his dismissal against Southampton, Casemiro is prepared to begin a four-game domestic suspension, which will include this weekend’s FA Cup quarterfinal against Fulham.

The Brazilian international, however, travels to Seville because he can participate in the Europa League.

On Wednesday morning, Nathan Bishop, Zidane Iqbal, and Kobbie Mainoo trained with the first team; nevertheless, the three are not included in the roster for the match in Europe.

Due to Man United’s strong position in the tie, Ten Hag is rumored to be pondering changing up his lineup in order to prepare for Sunday’s FA Cup last-eight match.

In the final third of the field, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Wout Weghorst are alternatives, and Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri have also traveled.

Man United are currently well-stocked at the defence despite having injuries in the midfield and attack, and club captain Harry Maguire will be vying for a rare start against the La Liga team.

Man United squad vs. Real Betis:

De Gea, Heaton, Butland; Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Malacia, Martinez, Shaw, Varane, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Fernandes, Fred, McTominay, Sabitzer; Elanga, Pellistri, Rashford, Sancho, Weghorst
