Preview: Betis Vs Manchester United

Published

on

The Spanish team may be thinking that everything is possible in football as they prepare for their match against Manchester United on Thursday at Estadio Benito Villamarn.

In their Europa League round of 16 first-leg match at Old Trafford, the Andalusian squad fell to Manchester United 4-1.

Betis, which has 42 points and is now ranked fifth in La Liga, will have a formidable challenge against a club with extensive European experience. In addition, Los Verdiblancos have won only one of their last seven home games.

After Valencia’s 3-0 loss to Basel in the first leg of their 2013–2014 Europa League match before defeating Basel 5-0 in the return match, no club has overcome such a goal differential.

The visitors, who have 50 points and are currently in third place in the Premier League, will play Betis with the expectation of easily advancing to the next round.

Erik ten Hag’s club, who most recently drew 0-0 with Southampton at home, appears to be developing into another European power, as they demonstrated against Barcelona in both games and most recently against Betis.

The Red Devils have only won two of their past six away games, but they haven’t lost in any of their last four visits to Spain and have never been ousted from the last 16 of the Europa League when they won the first leg.
