Real Madrid is interested in signing a €50 million Chelsea player

To say the least, the Real Madrid vs. Chelsea game at the Santiago Bernabeu was lopsided. Los Blancos could have, and probably should have, scored more goals, especially with Frank Lampard’s side down a man for half an hour after Ben Chilwell was sent off.
Reece James was one of the players who struggled on the day. He has previously defeated Vinicius Junior, but on this occasion, the Chelsea defender came up short.
The performance against Real Madrid does not change the fact that James is one of the world’s most talented full-backs. He has the potential to be the best right-back in the game if he continues to develop and avoids injuries.
According to MARCA, Real Madrid is interested in James. Chelsea’s situation is not ideal, and they will have to part ways with a few of their players during the next transfer window. One of them could be the English right-back, who could leave for a fee of around €50 million.

Given James’ potential, age, and the levels he has already demonstrated for Chelsea when at his best, a €50 million transfer fee appears to be on the low end. If a club can sign him for anything close to that amount, it will undoubtedly be considered a steal.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea are willing to let James leave in the summer. He recently signed a long-term contract extension with the club and is unquestionably one of their best players.
Chelsea splitting up with James feels like the worst-case scenario for them. Stranger things have happened in football, so Real Madrid should keep an eye on the situation.
